Turkey That Teacher!

Turkey That Teacher, the hilarious, yearly Student Council initiative where the four teachers with the most votes (each vote costing $5) wear turkey costumes for a day took place the Monday before Thanksgiving. On November 25, 2024, Mrs. Withstandley, and Mr. Krasnow for the UMS, and Mr. Boudreau, and Ms.Turkel for the LMS wore the turkey costumes! With the 7th Grade trailing in donations going into the final day, they came back to win on the last day of donations, earning a free dress. Overall, Brunswick Middle School raised over $1,350 that went to the Don Bosco Foundation to purchase parts of Thanksgiving meals for families in need. In the words of Jack Reid, the Middle School President, “This is great because it helps under-privileged families enjoy their Thanksgiving meal to the fullest extent while also providing the opportunity to laugh at teachers.” Thank you to all of those who donated! Our generosity made this year’s initiative a huge success, and we look forward to making next year just as amazing.
