MS Student Council Elections
Lucas Castillo ’31, Alexander Chemali ’31, Gregory Psaki ’30 | September 30, 2025
On September 30, 2025 students ran for either Vice President or President during our student council elections which took place in the UMS Assembly Space. Hayes Nemser, Gregory Psaki, Andrew Steinberg, and Evan Lanson ran for President while Matts McGraw ran for Vice President. This year, the presidential candidates were also placed on the vice presidential ballot. Every candidate wanted to help the school if elected, but each had different ideas. Hayes Nemser and Evan Lanson were voted President and Vice President respectively.
After the elections, Matts McGraw and Evan Lanson were interviewed. The two questions they were asked were, “What would you do if you got elected?” And, “What would you do with the future student council to come to an agreement?” Matts McGraw answered that If he got elected for VP he would advocate for more no blazer days. When coming to an agreement he would have them all vote on what they wanted but votes varied on ranking like President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. When posed the same questions, Evan responded by saying if he got elected he would do everything in his power to make Brunswick school better for students and teachers. He said they would debate if there was a disagreement and would vote.
